re: The Depp/Heard Trial is the gift that keeps on giving

Elaine was going through her whole "you want your 15 minutes of fame from this case" line of questioning in a desperate attempt to impeach his testimony
his response was like "I can say the same for you representing Miss Heard"
It was amazing. Black nail polish tabloid dude probably isn't my type but I became a fan. I can't understand how Elaine has a career, seriously how does she practice law? She's horrific at actually doing the job but she also has a quality about her as a person that is intensely unlikable. What the frick was Amber Heard thinking hiring this lady, I'd rather have Ken Nugent than this woman

The intensely unlikable part makes her a natural for that profession

I had a hearing in the circuit court of Fairfax yesterday and was walking by Chief Judge Azcarate's courtroom as they adjourned for a break. I was amazed by the number of people who came out of the courtroom and got on their phones talking about what they saw. I later saw a group of people waiting to get into the courtroom. I asked one of the deputies how people get in. He told me that people line up at about 2:00 am to be one of the first 100 to get a plastic bracelet to allow entry into the courtroom. He just kinda shook his head and chuckled.
I guess the trial has to be coming to an end soon.

so it seems like the final rebuttal witness for Depp (Camille said at the end of the day they have just 1 left) will be the flight attendant whose wrist Depp allegedly grabbed and said how many pounds of pressure it takes to break a wrist (Boston flight incident?)
after Elaine asks that woman about trying to get her 15 minutes of fame... the Heard side should have about 1 hour left for their own rebuttal case

yes... closing arguments are Friday morning... both sides have 2 total hours to do a close & a rebuttal (Depp close, Heard close, Depp rebuttal, Heard rebuttal)
Jury should start deliberating around lunch time Friday

Interesting, Fridays are motions day in Fairfax. Normally, judges let jurors deliberate on Fridays, but there is no trial activity (testimony, closings, etc). I suppose Judge Azcarate can make an exception for a case like this.

she wanted this trial over before the Memorial Day holiday
that was the goal

Elon Musk
Did the Musk message they read today Johnny wrote give the stewardess what she needs to indentify the unique characteristics of Musk’s tusk?

Gotcha. They lost a week due to the Judicial Conference.
What is also interesting is that appeals from civil cases in Virginia used to be granted only on writ by the Supreme Court. We recently adopted an appeal of right to the Court of Appeals in civil cases. My guess is that the jury verdict will not be the final word in this case.

if Heard loses... this case is definitely headed to the Court of Appeals

A trial lawyer's dream!
Heard needs to make Elaine walk back from the courtroom to the office... she's been a nightmare to an already rough case coming in

I heard that she's having a rough time in this trial. That's kinda surprising in that she has a pretty good rep in the community. I do not know her personally, but I always thought of her as an employment discrimination lawyer.

she might just be in over her head with this case
that said... the fact her go-to on all of these witnesses is "you're just looking for your 15 minutes of fame" just rubs me the wrong way as a layman who knows nothing about law stuff
just seems like a cheap attack when you're losing

If it rubs you the wrong way, it's probably rubbing the jury the wrong way, also. Trial lawyers need situational awareness. I've seen too many in my 40+ years of trying lawsuits who just don't get that. When I am on the other side I just keep hoping they don't get it.

I'm in the same boat from a knowledge standpoint, but I think it's just an attempt to discredit some pretty damning testimony against your client. The TMZ guy obviously killed it with the sniper head shot on Elaine (which Iona, go check that one out lol).
It seems like the only move Heard's attorneys could go at this point with the rebuttal witnesses as they directly contradict Heard and support Depp.
EDIT: I agree as well, it made Elaine look slimy moreso than crazy cat lady, and the TMZ guy slammed that one home

I have a YouTube link to it a page or 2 back

I could be wrong, but I think it's been reported that the jury has had obviously negative reactions to Elaine.

I have not seen any of the trial except for snippets that I've seen on the news. I doubt that the jury is ever on camera, but if she is doing that badly, someone on her team should be telling her that the body language of the jury is that they have stopped listening - change your tone and tactic.

there are 3 lawyers who now do legal analysis on YouTube who have been in the gallery... DUI Guy+, Runkle of the Bailey (who's a Canadian lawyer), & Law & Lumber (who lives & practices in Fairfax)
all have given their opinions on the jury's body language
DUI Guy+ has been in the gallery everyday for the last week or so
another 1... Good Lawgic was also in there 1 day
