also... as soon as Heard's side does rest... we'll see Depp's side move to strike Heard's countersuit

the chances of the judge granting that motion is only slightly better than Heard's previous motion to strike Depp's original lawsuit

here is reportedly how Depp's team has stacked their rebuttal witnesses...

5/24:
Dr. Richard Shaw (not sure what he's going to testify to)
Dr. Kimberly Collins (forensic pathologist)
Children's Hospital of Los Angeles rep (via video depo)
Warner Bros rep to dispute Amber's claims about her films/losses
Richard Marks (entertainment lawyer... a recall from Depp's case-in-chief)
Mike Spinler (economic damages lawyer)
Doug Bonya (social media & analytics expert)
Morgan Knight (Hicksville incident witness)
Dr. David Culber (the physician who treated Depp's hand injury)
Jennifer Howell (via video depo... Amber's sister's ex-roommate who says Amber's version of the stairs incident is a lie)

5/25:
Kate Moss (via video stream... live witness but not in person... Depp's ex)
Bryan Neumeister (metadata expert)
Morgan Tremaine (????)
Lydia Phillip (flight attendant who was allegedly assaulted during the plane incident)
Dr. Shannon Curry (recall witness... the psychologist who will say the Heard team's "doctor" with the incomplete notes is full of shite)
Johnny Depp (only recall him if Heard's team has no time left to cross him with?)

apparently there was a hot mic incident where it sounds like the Doc Brown looking witness from today is caught asking Elaine (Heard's cat lady lawyer) "is there something I'm not allowed to lie about"

I would absolutely love that. He made a huge effort to be agreeable to the heard side, while being a total argumentative dick to the Depp side. It would have been more informative to just go with facts, and leave the cheerleader routine to cheerleaders.

I kept wondering if Camille would have hit him, well, like Biloxi.

Heard's side has rested... and Depp's side is making the motion to strike Heard's countersuit

FWIW... there's now a cleaner version of that audio which sounds like he asks if there's something he can't talk about (not lie about)... so I believe still it was an innocent statement like I thought it was before

Rottonborn just tried to object to Chew making his argument for striking Heard's counterclaim by saying it was show for the cameras and could spoil the jury

No Depp today...

AH side rests and now are going through motions to dismiss AH counter claim.

This motion to strike & its arguments are all off the clock... no time is being lost for either side currently

ETA: also... the jury is not in the courtroom for these arguments

With AH down to a little over 4 hrs left, how much time do they need to set aside for closing?

Say they have 90 minutes, then they have about 2 1/2 hours to cross the rebuttal witnesses.

I take it that the reason Depp is included as the last in the rebuttal witness to force AH side to either commit to use their time to cross the other rebuttal witness or save time for Depp.

Closing has its own clock... each side will have 2 hours Friday morning to do closing

So are they then trying to see AH's team is willing to wait and hold time to potentially cross Depp vs. against the other rebuttal witnesses?

Yes... if they're out of time from the previous witnesses then Heard's team can't cross him

So it looks like they won't strike AH claim, but then again that should not have been a shock.

There we go... motion to strike denied... as expected

It had a better chance of being granted than Heard's motion of striking Depp's original lawsuit though lol
