Yeah he’ll be fine. Not sure Disney let’s him back in, but I think we haven’t seen the end of Johnny Depp for sure.

problem is Disney announced it was recasting Jack Sparrow for Pirates 6 like last Friday

Yeah, I think Disney is out. Forever.
But he may get some decent size gigs going foreword.
One thing worth noting, they also said they were going to hire a different director for Guardians of the Galaxy 3, then rehired James Gunn. So never say never I guess.

There is absolutely no way they go through with that. None. The backlash would be monstrous. They will simply not make a new Pirates movie before casting someone else.

I know people think I’m crazy for saying this, but I think he has an opportunity to come out of this looking better in some aspects than even before Heard’s article.
I think his career was fading big time. If Pirates 6 was bad, it was over for him.
He may not get a big studio to take a chance on him again, but he has the opportunity to get “renegade”, “rebel”, or “culture altering” status. This is a new thing he’s doing. It has the opportunity to set precedent going foreword.
So I think he has the opportunity to get even more independent attention and acclaim going forward. Low budget, independent, high acclaim movies.
As long as he plays it right.
