I watched some of it. He's a pretty well spoken guy who didn't expect to have to testify and definitely didn't want to do so. He obviously was not looking for fame. He said he's been contacted by lots of news outlets, but has not spoken to them and it sounds like he won't do so.
There wasn't much meat to the interview. Basically, he was trying to help set the record straight and ended up on the stand. He doesn't get into the facts of his testimony. He's famous because he zinged Elaine.

Elaine appeared on the Today Show today. She says Amber will appeal and has good grounds. She said Amber cannot pay the judgment. Elaine claims that there was a lot of evidence that should have been admitted, but was not including the judgment in the UK which she believes would have resulted in dismissal of this case.
Elaine believes social media influenced the jury, though she does not have proof.

I think when this started, they expected a lot of things that didn't happen. They expected the judgment in the UK to be entered into evidence showing that Depp was already a proven abuser. That's their argument.
They also didn't expect a good bit of evidence to be suppressed.
To top it off, neither Elaine nor Amber were likable.
The case they thought they had went South. Way South in the US.
I'd never heard of Amber before this. To my knowledge, I've never seen a Depp movie. I've ridden the ride at Disney, but that's about it. I didn't have a dog in the hunt, but I found the case interesting.
I'm not sure Depp really got his life back. Maybe he'll get some roles, but if he's late and drugged up when he's acting as was brought out at trial, do companies want to invest in him? There were no videos of him hitting a woman, but good gosh, he's got a temper along with addiction issues.

Also, there was much Team Depp wanted to bring before the jury that wasn't allowed as well.
It was a 2 way street.

Well, if it did, it was through the fault of her client. At the end of the trial, Amber got on the stand and testified that everyone on social media hated her and wanted to microwave her baby, and loved Johnny. She's the idiot that brought it in to the testimony. So she can't use that as a defense in her appeal.
Her attorneys were borderline retarded for putting her back up there on the stand.

He's much older, but if he kicks the addictions, I would not be surprised to see his career take a RDJ path back to the spotlight.

Amber Heard was a TERRIBLE liar.
Her "acting" skills were a joke.
Their elitist personalities made them think they could "play" the jury.
Juries are made up of human beings with varied life-experiences.
Live long enough and you will encounter a Narcissist like Heard in real life and you will despise them.
They hated her because they "knew" her.
