The hospital doesn’t chose whether or not to admit you based on your covid test. You get admitted based on how sick you are regardless of your ailment

That isn't correct.

True. Poor kid was barely breathing yesterday but he tested negative so we sent him home to die

Doing well man. She still out in California. I spoke with her in March. She’ll be in middle school next year which is crazy to think about her. I’m still not allowed to see her because of my domestic abuse and drug charges

There's a bit of a difference between "barely breathing" and "sick as shite."

But I'll defer to you, doctor.

I personally know of multiple people who have all the symptoms but aren't admitted to the hospital because their tests come back negative. They've been tested 2-3 times. Each time negative but they are sick as shite.

A positive or negative test doesn’t affect whether someone comes into the hospital. It’s the clinical appearance of the patient, their vital signs, etc.

Very unlikely they have COVID if they’ve tested negative 2-3 times. 1, maybe. Perhaps the have another ailment.

If you are sick, and present with difficulty breathing and fever, they will either admit you or not based on the seriousness of your symptoms and potential to worsen, regardless of if the test says positive or negative

For example, sometimes a 20 year old with a very bad cough and fever will be sent home with a positive test

A 70 year old diabetic with slight cough and low fever may actually be admitted for monitoring even with a negative test

The doctors aren’t really using the test at all on whether or not to admit upon presenting to the hospital. It’s used later on whether or not to keep you on the covid floor. And they are often giving multiple tests to patients who at first test negative to ensure they aren’t moving a covid patient in a non covid floor

Guess how I know you aren't a doctor.

Family friend was in the hospital for 10 days with just about all the covid symptoms and tested negative 3 times in the hospital. Key point here she was cared for in the hospital. She is now home and doing well. People that get there information off Facebook and spread it like the truth are a joke.

To be clear, I'm speaking about the other side of your incorrect assertion.

People are being sent home who would be admitted under normal conditions.
