Used to do HVAC service work for a megachurch pastor. Had a 4000sf house and nicer cars than a rapper.

He ran a shady car dealership on Florida Blvd, and when I was looking for a used car he pointed out every single one on his lot that had some kind of crippling failure on it.

And some baws tithe 10% of their income so their megachurch pastor can travel ball his kids.

All I got is , I was at a funeral at the Church In St.Amant and the pastor was texting the whole time while waiting to give his talk. Plus he made it more about himself than the person that died. Then someone else from the church spoke and it was like they were recruiting you to join. At a funeral.

he kind of people who have a past that they’re not proud of and want to feel better about it but who are too afraid of actually believing in a God that will judge them for that past but then will forgive them.

We know someone that was having some real issues with alcohol, addiction, and relationships. A friend convinced them to join one of these types of churches (not this particular one, but same concept) and 6 months later, the person is totally changed. No more drinking, working on other addictions, doing better in relationships, lost a bunch of weight, and seems to have really pulled their life together.

This person seems to have gotten very involved in the church.

Traded out addictions. This person has an emotional problem not a physical addiction.

Bless you

Thanks, let me know who I'm supposed to talk to instead of Jesus himself.

That wasn’t the “church” that helped. What helped your acquaintance was changing the crown he hung with. I don’t doubt people who attend these types of churches are good people. Got the most part they are.

You can't fully appreciate it if you have never been caught up in a mega church before. I'm glad we got back to a small Baptist church. The mega church isn't Christianity.

That's not biblical. That's church "tradition" aka blasphemy.
