Kid needs a novel for school. Needs it by Monday.

Checked Amazon. Book title is not available with Prime. Amazon does not directly sell book. Marketplace has the book at various prices around $8-9, but all with delivery slots ranging from May 17 - 29th.

Checked Barnes and Noble online. Book is in stock. Ordered it using paypal. Cost was $9.99. Will be ready for pickup in one hour.

Very surprised that B&N would have a book - in store - that Amazon doesn't sell and offer Prime benefits for.

Well B&N’s entire business is selling books. Amazon not so much.

You should share your story with the book board. They love to read interesting stories.

I still go to the bookstore regularly, lots of people usually there actually. Its nice to be able to go and browse around and find a book to read. Amazon is great if you know what you need and what you want to read but outside of that, I still enjoy going to the bookstore a couple times a month.

The mega bookstore is dying......I have no idea how the Books a Million in Alex is staying open.

We use the library for those things, accelerated reader has my kids needing to read a new book weekly. A trip to the library once every couple of weeks saves a fortune.

Same here - luckily between the school library, class library, and public library, we have pretty much all of these covered. It's only if the entire class is reading a book as part of their classwork, where we need to go out and buy one.

Barnes and Noble isnt going anywhere. They still get plenty of foot traffic, have their own E-reader that sells pretty well, and they are pretty involved in the college text book game.
