I just had a neighbor let loose with about 15 rounds out of something. Definitely wasn't fireworks.

Yeah, I don't mind them going late into the night on New Years, at least that makes sense.

It’s the one night a year my wife allows me to cheat and do drugs. Only stipulation is I have to use protection. Lol of course I’m like “Pfft of course!! That’s a given!!” Soon as I get out the driveway, the rubbers go out the window.


But I’m just feeling a bit lazy tonight, probably just gonna veg out and spend the night with y’all instead.

Making loud noises is a tradition to ward off evil to begin the year.

There is a strong correlation between the humanization of animals and the dehumanizing of people in our society. I have loved all of my pets, but the thought that a pet is more important than a child enjoying a long-standing tradition one night a year is ridiculous.

Fear is supposed to be a natural emotion for animals, but we have humanized then to the point they are not expected to experience fear.
