I wouldn't call it hiding, per se. Half of the country is a mountain fortress. No one wanted to invade because even if the invaders were victorious, which they likely would be, the Swiss would inflict massive losses for a Pyrrhic victory at best.

Hell, even when you only account for recorded gun sales louisiana has 2x as many in circulation.

Watch the damn you tube and the private bunker they toured complete with 10,000 various guns with ammo, rocket launchers, tanks with ammo etc., dozens of military vehicles etc. No private person here has all that.
