DFW is actually a great airport considering the traffic it sees. Short security lines and fairly easy to get around (again, considering its huge volume).
The problem, of course, is that AA inhabits all of 4 terminals and half the other one.

I’ve flown delta, united twice and American in the last 3 months.
Delta is king no question
One united trip they lost my baggage and I flew in the day of a wedding. My suit was in my bag.
Second United trip, our flight got delayed by 45 minutes, missed my connection and sat in Houston for 5 hours
American canceled our return flight for “weather” despite Delta and United both going to the same location. Word is that they were understaffed but say its due to weather to avoid paying for hotels or expenses.
IMO
Delta
Spirit
Southwest
United
American

parking rates coming down(because of ride apps I'm sure,) train connects to it, skylink makes it easy and fast to get from terminal to terminal, a lot of posts on here that are probably one offs by infrequent flyers

Boeing has hurt some of their customers very badly with the Max grounding. American was flying several of them but that is not the only reason their service sucks.

I flew Spirit and Allegiant... no issues.
SWA and American always seem to be running late. SWA did give me a voucher of $150 once for being 5 hours late.
Frontier cancelled a flight on me once. Will not fly again.

I used to fly continental all the time before United bought them out. Everyone hates United, but when continental was still continental, it was a good airline. Flying out of IAH all the time was extremely convenient.

If you're the type who is always late, then American is for you.
About every other flight I take with American is delayed.

I can conclusively say that American is absolute dog shite. I've flown Delta for years but have been trying out American since my city has become a major hub for them. The difference is night and day. Everything that can go wrong does with American every time. I've never had one issue with Delta. I'm to the point that I'd rather go through Atlanta with Delta than take a direct flight with American because Delta is quicker and more reliable even with the stop in Atlanta.

I mostly fly out of BTR. When Delta shut their Memphis hub down I switched to American. Cant stand flying to ATL then back over BTR when going to the west coast.
