the Guevera/Saban match is supposed to be very high flying and a fast, exciting lead in for the main show

So the people that ridicule Ricochet and Gargano for being small in the Monday and Tuesday threads (not you specifically) are going to mark out for Guevara and Sabian?

ETA Also there isn't anybody on that card that will draw a house like Reigns or Lesnar

And yet it’s a sold out show

I know you aren't aiming that statement at me... so we're good

and for the record... I'm always entertained by Ricochet and Gargano and others

Seems like they need them to get over on the mic. Getting over in the ring doesn't usually work, imo.

Plenty of ECW guys got over in the ring. I like MJF on BTE, no idea how he is in the ring. He's already gotten his character over there. I'm guessing a lot of the foreigners don't speak English so that could be a problem.

Well, the numbers don't lie. Live attendance (ie drawing a house) is down regardless of if he's on the card or not. Him showing up doesn't tick anything up or down (although now he's on smackdown which just had their lowest rating ever). He's part of the machine, it'll churn if he's there or not.

Well if you consider getting pin cushioned with thumb tacks, beat to shite with Barb wire, and bleeding all over the place truly getting over in the ring then yes.....the exception is RVD he did get over in the ring but his promos were the drizzling shits so he had no real choice

Are their wrestlers going to be in shape juiced up freaks or look like slobs like 75% of WWE wrestlers do these days? WWE has guys with such poor physiques they wrestle with tee shirts on

Maybe not a singles match, but the Bucks and the Lucha Bros are bout to tear the house down. That’ll be a better match than any non Styles/Rollins match from MITB.

Competition is good for the E, we should be cheering for this event to succeed bigly

House shows in good markets have ticked up to 8-10K which happened around when he came back soooooooo

ETA Raw is still sitting in the 10-12K range and always will like you say.

But I'm sure people would mark out if Reigns went to AEW.

Yeah, but ECW was doing the kind of crazy things that not many had seen before. As far as I know, those kind of hardcore matches were not available to most wrestling fans. However, since then, nearly every kind of hardcore match and flip and flop conceivable has been seen by wrestling fans. I just don't think crazy/dangerous moves can dazzle crowds as much as they used to in the 90s.

But maybe I'm wrong.

Yeah, there's a shitload of tickets still available for that and they've been on sale for over a month now.
