The mobile site is absolutely one of the worst sites I've had the displeasure of viewing with any regularity. Almost every time I'm reading an article, the words disappear and I have to swipe right or left, then come back to the article. The words will reappear, but so do all the advertising, including any of the video commercials. Absolutely no way in Hell I'd give the Advocate a cent for that shitty product they produce. I hope they close down within a year.

. I used to know someone fairly regularly. Guess I'm getting old and most of my HS acquaintances don't stay out late enough to get one anymore

This has been my experience too. I guess not surprising since we seem to know many of the same people. That being said, I do know a guy that was in their this past weekend. Nice fella, but I'm not exactly surprised to see his name listed.

If they do, then Baton Rouge and New Orleans will get some now available cheap real estate at fire sale prices.

Didn’t they just build new office buildings in both places.

Maybe they could have spent more on the substance (article) than the facade (buildings).

By the way, the ads are terrible on most news sites. It is either blaring loud auto play commercials or popups the hide the page that you have to click off.

The ones that irritate me the most are the sites that will let you read a portion of the story then you have to click more to read more.

What I would like to know is how much the Ad Networks (Google) are biting out of these ad revenue streams.

Some even run polls before stories from Google for revenue.

Absolutely. Their site infuriates me. I get sucked into reading it sometimes by clicking a link from here or something from FB. I'll smile when those buildings or sitting empty for years.

Tiger Roar wasn't producing original content.

But all of the advocates competitors are. You can go to any number of apps and find your local news. And, the only reason the advocate won the Pulitzer is because it came up with a faux story that supported a far left whack job talking point.
