It's impossible to tell from the video whether he was going for a gun or not,
The answer to this is completely irrelevant. He coulda been going for a stick of gum. There's no way to know.....but the did not, should not wait to see. Is it really that hard to grasp that? They knew he had a gun, they probably knew who he was before they approached and knew exactly what type of person they were dealing with.
Once that arm got loose, the plan became "Err on the side of caution". Got zero prob with that. They did all they could to deescalate. Alton could have, he chose not to
I'm just completely confused that this is such a huge debate

Just said at funeral services ...
Alton was a father of 5 and a product of the East Baton Rouge school system.
He sold CDs and DVDs and was his own CEO.
You can't make this up.

Except it doesn't show that.
Why is this so hard for some of you to understand? The only thing that has to be proven is if the cops felt a legitimate threat which they obviously did. These cops didn't draw their weapons from the start. They tried to detain him peacefully. Sterling is the one that escalated the situation while knowingly carrying a fricking gun. This a-hole got himself shot. Plain and simple.

Ok, you're just being ignorant at this point. Carry on with your BS.
yes, because awaiting the results of a thorough investigation and not taking a video that doesn't show everything as gospel is "bullshite"

Someone trolled " How did he die"
I replied "Natural Causes" - because that's naturally what happens when you resist while committing a felony against BRPD.
I got whacked.

That's all well and good, but let's stop saying it's a fact he clearly reached for his pistol when there is nothing to clearly show he reached for his pistol.
Did the officers fear for their life becuase they saw he had a weapon while resisting, or that he went for it while resisting? I know some people will say it doesn't really matter, but it kinda does.
I get that people have a problem painting officers as folks that want to murder black men, but no one seems to have a problem painting Sterling as a man who wanted to mow down officers.
I'm willing to bet the house nobody wanted to kill anyone that night.

Out of a billion sperm, Alton beat out all of the other sperm and he was meant to be here.

I mean, you're being ignorant. Video is the best proof you're going to get.

I never said that as fact actually. But you and your agenda don't give a shite about facts.
