judgmental?
I'm just giving my opinion of the value vs. the cost. The same people that go out and buy things that depreciate like cars do are the people that complain about taxes and such

I do think it is relevant to state that cars/trucks are lasting longer than ever. I don't think the stupid people are the ones who pay $80k for a vehicle. I think the stupid ones are the ones who trade in ANY vehicle after a couple of years.

I get to decide if I want to buy an 80k truck.....I don't have a choice with taxes.

I'm still going to complain

Msrp on trucks is stupid. If you pay based upon the discount off msrp then you are stupid.

$45K is the new normal not $80K(0.0005% of new trucks).

One day you'll actually explain this stupid line you harp in everyone of these threads, right?

If you aren't smart enough to research, that's your fault, not mine.

I am definitely jealous of the lack of giving a shite about my financial future. I'd love to drive a nice $50k truck, but since I don't make $200k a year, I personally can't justify it.

To each their own. It's their money. And if you make $200k, yea, I'm jealous of that shite too.

I saw a supercharged Ford truck at Bohn Ford on the west bank a while back that stickered for around $100k. Don't recall if it was f150 or f250, but it supposedly had like 800hp. That might be a truck worth paying for.

Had a coworker lament he couldn’t afford a house in my neighborhood yet he drives a new King Ranch and his wife has a brand new 65k Suburban, their vehicle notes are double what my mortgage is, and they’re putting income towards a rapidly declining asset.

There’s nothing new about dumbasses.

Why is the $34k you spent on a truck the line that's drawn where you don't know why anyone would spend more than that?

A. I never said I had an $80k truck
2. I even posted earlier in the thread that the only way I'd pay that much for one is if I had the disposable cash, implying that I don't
D. Why do you care what others spend their money on, you didn't earn it.

Yeah you are the one that they prey on. Working on how much can you afford for a note

If you think I make a purchase decisions off a “note” then you are could not be more wrong. However, after all he dealing and term structure is decided, the buyer is left with a “note” that has to be paid (assuming debt financed).

No.

I bought a 2016 ram 2500 diesel with cooled seats, sunroof, etc. Cost me just over 50k.
