Dinner sounds nicer, but when does your family officially eat? We always eat between 12 and 1. This has always been the way we do it. I sometimes wish we would eat at night. It seems more formal/appropriate.

What say you?

No chance I'm waiting until dinner to get down on some turkey. We eat around 2 then pass out shortly thereafter.

Between 2-4. Some of our peeps go hunting in the morning, so it's a later meal.

Both. Have to eat with both sides of the family.

Lunch is when I do most of my pigging out though. Usually eat a much smaller meal for dinner

We've never really had a set time since it depends on varying factors each year.

It's been as early as 1 and as late as 6. This year, it was around 5.

Thanksgiving dinner used to be 3-4 before the stores infringed on that time so now it's 2. My parents still have the mental makeup of saving a buck so my sis and parents go out and me and my wife go home and finish watching football

We do both.

Some people can only do lunch, others come late, or are doing lunch somewhere else and come in the afternoon.

I usually stick around for the seconds at dinnertime.

The "main" meal is obviously lunch, but we do both on Turkey day.

We do lunch and I prefer it that way so I can get it over with as soon as possible.

My mom used to do dinner. But as we all got older and moved away for college, we bitched about waiting until 6pm to eat.

She has it ready for 1-2 pm now.
