Louisiana has a huge population of ruberneckers. I mean anytime anything goes wrong on I10 it always seems too difficult to just move the dumbarses out the way and allow traffic to proceed

I was told part of a funeral procession for a marine was involved in a wreck resulting in fatalities

What time did they truly open it back up? I eventually took the Camry off roading and got through median about 500 feet from where I parked. I decided getting stuck was worth the risk. Backtracked and took airline-was back to prairieville by 10; left Nola at 7. What a disaster. Looked like there were more more wrecks behind me, too:

Paper says it was a wreck between two motorcycles one dead one in the hospital. Says nothing about the funeral etc
