Have you considered getting a 5010? Still has a date but at the 42mm sweet spot.
The Anniversary ones are high as giraffe pussy and the current 5010s are either titanium or rose gold. I don't have an issue with titanium but it just makes it a different watch to me. My perfect FF is steel 42mm No Rad dial and no date. That sounds like the Hodinkee comment section other than they would have wanted it to be 38mm.
I still wanted to know what CAD was wearing. After some (30 seconds) of sleuthing it seems to be an homage to a Qlock Two word watch which doesn't seem to be made anymore. However, they do still make desk and wall clocks. I have been looking for a wall clock for my home office for several years and nothing really hit me. While rather expensive this is going on my B-day list so maybe the wife will buy it for me. I think it is massively cool. They have multiple colors and sizes.

Yes. It was an alibaba special. I just loved the way it shows the time.

I like the Root Beer but it looks like something a Florida State fan would wear.

It is as cool as it is quirky. Thanks for posting it.

This is my Deep Blue Diver 1000 GMT. Seiko auto office GMT, sapphire, ceramic bezel, vintage lume, 40mm… pics don’t do it justice.

Maybe some Lasix would help.

Thoughts on Brady’s Super Bowl Watch?!
I guess when you’re worth $300 million you’ve got to spend your money on something.

According to multiple reports, it is a Jacob & Co Caviar Tourbillon timepiece valued at $740,000. It features 48.92 carats of sapphires, 1.32 carats of diamonds and has an alligator leather strap, according to Business Insider.

We need an Obtuse1 review.

Amen, lol. I don’t know where to start.

Like most J&Co, it’s gaudy as hell.
Burkhardts root beer is much better.
Even my wife, who knows and cares jack about watches, said the same. Unprompted.

Is it a sin or simply Zen to wear the most unSinn Sinn? The Sinn 6100 Classic Regulateur B. It has a Sinn SZ04 movement which is just a slightly warmed over ETA 6498. Being a pocket watch movement it makes a big boy case at 44mm but you can definitely see the minute hand. Louis Berthoud would probably be proud. (He was the father of regulator dials)
Regarding the Jacob & Co. watch, I have never been a fan but they don't make watches for me. I don't like gem-set watches on the average man but Brady is not average but he also lacks that kind of "cool" to me. It is a rock star thing and it feels a little mid-life crisis on Tom but free shite can be fun. I have held one high-complication J&C and viewed a few gen set ones through glass and they are well done, just not my wheelhouse and Arabo has a checkered past with financial crimes. If this was the type of watch I wanted, had the coin and Patek and VC gem-set pieces are too reserved this would be a good place to spend a thousand racks.
Going back to the Genta theme, it vaguely reminded me of the Gentissima Oursin Fire Opal he released last month.
Not my jam either but like the J&C Tom had on I can appreciate it from afar.

i like the orange; i have an orange face watch my next door neighbor gave me as a kid in the 1970s (i'll post a pic later) and have been looking for something more 'adult' with an orange face but so far i haven't found just the right one.
but on another note, its snoop day!

Picked this up last week. Sheffield Allsport Diver 1A black/orange. Came with a black rubber strap, swapped it for a mesh band. This thing is sweet for under $200.

I am one of the few watch nerds that admits I like the MoonSwatch. My wife and I have a decent collection of them. We have all the initial releases and I got the Mission to Mars on the initial release date. I bought a second one and did a metal case mod for the one that had gotten a little beat up. I have two more metal cases for the extra Mission to Earth Phase and Mission to Super Blue Moon Phase we picked up. I have to put my thinking cap on to mod them since they actually have different movements to the original ones as do the two Snoopy variants. I also have a new metal case for the BPxSwatch Antarctic Ocean. I really want to keep the Sistem 51 and have been told even a dial swap to an NH35 (my backup plan) is impossible, so it moved up in the queue because I love proving people wrong. I will show them when I get finished with all of them.
While the Moonswatch is overpriced (or I should say overvalued because they sell like hotcakes forcing Swatch to open a new factory to keep up with demand) they have a high smiles per dollar ratio.

i should know better than to think i'm going to surprise you on any given friday.
how do you have time to wear everything to the point they are wearing out?
i loved swatch in the 80s and still have 3-4 that have survived (but not in great condition..the plastic bands have rotted).

That is a great no date skin diver for the money. I am curious they list it as having a NH35 (Seiko umbrella) movement. Does it have a ghost position for the date? A lot of smaller companies just use the NH35 for both because buying just NH35s (date version) get their MOQ up high enough they are actually cheaper than buying fewer NH38s for their no date versions.
I just recently got around to taking a NH35 apart and reassembling it, and was impressed for the money. It has some plastic parts but they are sort of a positive in watches you never will pay to have serviced the plastic gears don't need lubrication like metal gears and likely keep them serviceable for longer without service. They also make for an easier service for the idiots like me that find joy in working on inexpensive movements.
That watch would actually look killer on the orange version of the tropical strap it was shipped with during the summer.
