The Muhle Glashutte again today. No pics, I've already posted one in this thread.

GG themed days

In a weird way you can argue CAD's Pilot has a Genta connection. Often Panerai is given credit for the bronze watch era and their 382 did make the biggest splash but Genta released the first serially produced bronze watch in the Gefica under his eponymous brand back in 1988 followed by Chronoswiss the next year. It should be noted that Alessandro Bettarini did make a series of 8 Panerai prototypes in '85 with four being bronze but it was 26 years before the serially produced PAM382 was made.

The EXP1 is just classic. It is one of my wife's favorites. We have a share box and there have been multiple Explorers in it over the years. 14270 blackout, T-Swiss open lug, Swiss only; 114270; 214270 Mk 1 and II; 124270; and currently a 224270. My wife curates that box which is probably a good thing because I would have kept every one of those watches. I should start dipping into that box on Fridays, BP would like it it is very cornet-heavy.

I really do like the Zenith, when I was shopping for a bronze watch that I never bought it was often at the top of the list. I guess I kept waiting for a 44mm or smaller Panerai Submersible and the wait ended up being longer than my infatuation with bronze.

I meant to mention in other related GG news Vacheron released their Historiques 222 in steel this week. Priced above the Overseas and just under the AP 15500.

Thanks man

I had been on “the list” and wanted it for my 40th. Made friends with an AD years ago and he came through! It was tough to stomach, but obviously couldn’t say no

NGL, I think the no date sub is better than the far more common 126610.

Nothing says Rolex like a cyclops, but this is just a better look for a dive watch.

The Chopard LUC watches are some of the most underrated or I should say under-discussed Geneve Seal watches. Does that one have one of the X.96 series micro-rotor movements?

Several cool watches posted last Friday that I missed. CAD, what exactly is that?

Today I have on a 5008 40mm Blancpain Tribute to Fifty Fathoms MilSpec. Testing it on the only Sailcloth/FKM hybrid strap I have not in use. I really like them and think I will get either an all black or one with white stitching. The orange doesn't work but it lets me know I like the feel and fit on this watch.

When I am not wearing this one I put a pink strap on it, put it in a comfy box with my 5015 (45mm), and play Barry White music. I am hoping for a litter that grows up to be 42mm and maybe just maybe one of them won't have a date.

Have you considered getting a 5010? Still has a date but at the 42mm sweet spot.
