Which one of you Texas travel ball lovin', OT baller baws is this?

LINK

quote:

The Bombers are a program based out of Flower Mound, Texas, in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It is helmed by Lale Esquivel, a former Miami Hurricanes star who went to high school near where he now hosts his program. He has shown a dedication to winning at all costs, including extravagant travel expenses for Mullica Hill, N.J. native Joey Erace, Los Angeles native Jordan Rodriguez and Compton, Calif. star Bryce Morrison. All three fly in to take part in Bombers events, whether they are in the DFW region or at another far flung tournament.

quote:

Esquivel claims to have paid for all or nearly all of the travel costs for four of the six out-of-state players in the program.

quote:

The father or Joey Erace, Joe Erace, spent $30,000 on his son’s travel bills, as well as $1,200 per month on a flight of personal trainers to help him develop.

All of this for a 10 and under baseball team

Remember when Sports Illustrated used to do a tidbit called "sign that the Apocalypse is near"? This story would be the winner for this week, hands down.

Dude probably pisses money and that 30k is probably like $500 for most of you baws. Who cares what another guy spends on his kid.

They've been flying in players for a long time. Not on a large scale but it's nothing new.

I'm going to set a reminder in my calendar for 8 years to check in on the status of this roster. See how many of them sign multi-million $ contracts straight out of high school

The rest of you pro-travel ball parents need to step up your game for little Johnny

I know this one kid from Mississippi that played on several teams and would only show up for bracket play on Sundays for one certain team.

They called him Big Popi

All of that for kids that will be lucky if they get a scholarship to a community college.

Brandon sounds like a bitch. Trophy Club is about 98% white people bringing in 200k/yr..he's just pissed that his kids rich team is getting bested by some frijole flying kids in.

They're doing it all wrong. Miggy, Lindor, Puig, Cano, Molina, Cruz ect. all developed by hitting rocks with broom sticks.

The kid in the middle is more likely to reach three bills than community college.

All those batter suck.

Altuve played a game where he hit coin with broom handle.

I'll find the video, it's amazing.

But it's pointless. There are 10's of thousands of kids this age in DFDub. This must be a dope smuggling ring. Stuffing the kid's sphincters full of black tar, or worse.

To each his own, i guess.

I could be a billionaire and i am still going to teach my kids the value of money, and how to appreciate what you have.

Also, why the frick would you recruit 9 year olds from out of state? This baffles me. I bet these kids only care about winning at any cost. Good life lessons for these future tommy john surgery candidates

Was the before or after they were recruited and subsequently enrolled in a "baseball academy" in one of their home countries (usually between 12 and 14).

With the exception of Lindor, this was the case for each of those guys.
