My wife (no pics) continues to beat her truck to hell and back. Now it is the back bumper. it is bent so that the black plastic over the top of the bumper is broken. That piece holds the plates.

Is it legal to go Urban Cowboy and put your plates in the rear glass of the vehicle? If not what aer my other options until the bumper can be pounded out and plastic piece replaced? The plastic piece holds the light housing as well, so having the plate tethered to the metal bumper wont fly either at night.

Just get a couple sheet metal screws and attach it to the tailgate.

My wife destroys vehicles too baw. She can barely handle a Honda Accord. She'd take out half of Baton Rouge in a truck

So your wife is one of those women that takes 20 minutes to maneuver the giant truck she doesn't know how to drive into a parking spot?

yes. I've told her with her truck she has to park with the other baws in the back of all parking lots.

You will need a plate light to light tag or live PD will pull you over.

Let her work on the truck for awhile. This will guarantee a bobcat attack.

Honestly, If you're in an area where tolling is prevalent it may draw an eye. Make sure she doesn't have anything that will poke him stick him cut him when she gets patted down

If there are no cracks around the holes where the screw (or nut) goes into the bumper, try getting two nuts and bolts.

As long as you have two it should hold in place.

You can be ticketed for having the plate in the window. (Also in Texas you have to have plates on the front and back)

It is not legal to display the plate on the dashboard or a back window.

An appellate court clarified Texas law to address that very question. I'll look it up.

quote:

the state’s top criminal court ruled that it is now mandatory for all Texas drivers to display a license plate, not only on the back bumper of the car, but the front bumper of the vehicle as well. This recent ruling stemmed from the conviction of a man who was sent to prison for 60 years due to drug charges. The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals claimed that it is not acceptable to have the license plate displayed on the back of the car and somewhere remotely close to the front. The Court claims that the license plate needs to be visible at the front of the car. Also, the Court claims that having the license plate located in between the dashboard and the windshield is an unacceptable means of presentation.

You can put in the window, but if if it isn't visible at night there is a good chance she will get pulled over.

The constables in Katy need to earn their keep.

I got pulled over on 99 because my rear plate was bent.

I have but two bits of advice.

1. Let her ride the frickin bull.
2. Do not let that slut Pam lie to Aunt Corene about cleaning the trailer!
