Amazing how these stories go viral but the thousands of violent crimes against innocent victims of other races are a footnote on the daily news.

Or he walked over to their house with his toy whip. It could have easily been a stick, a BB gun, a sling shot, etc. and that wouldn’t be racist. But he has a whip so we need to stop the presses.

In fairness, he had a family approach his property who had already slandered him on social media.
However, there was no need to point a gun here. All of this could have been avoided had they just tried to communicate. Somebody had to drop their anger here and communicate. There’s no reason it had to escalate to this point.

I think there are a number of ways this could have been handled differently. If my child did that to someone's property I sure as heck would offer to pay for the damages - and then taken it out of the kid's arse. There's no reason for a gun in this situation, unless there are some wild facts that we don't know about.

The sensitive topic here is the claim this all happened simply because of race.
And until I see true evidence of that, I refuse to label it as such. As anyone should. That word gets thrown around way too much.

If this is a racist family, we will know soon enough. But regardless, this could ruin a 9 year olds life. It better be accurate. If it’s accurate, I’ll support it. I agree with you baw. I will say that one major issue I have with this sort of thing is the need to debate on whether or not something is racist or not. The kid showing up with a whip to the other family's front door is shitty, and it's obvious he comes from shitty parents, as going by his father's shitty firearm handling.
We don't need to know whether they are technically racist, in order to determine if they are shitty. When their actions already show how shitty they are.
