this likely happens only on an extremely small percentage basis,
yet we have had several threads started with multiple people claiming they know somebody that knows somebody. From nearly half the states in the union. Some folks saying they know several people this has happened to. But not one verifiable person.

Yeah quit opening your Parrain’s chain emails.

I’m not saying it is all true and some of it isn’t FB histrionics, but it is happening. With the inconsistencies in the data and testing to believe it is inconceivable at this point is at best foolish.

We had 2 sisters go to a free testing in town here where I live. You had to pre register for it. After waiting in line for a couple hours they left. Later both got letters in the mail telling them they were positive.

You ain't wrong about that.

The change sparked from covid, but everything that has transpired since solidified it. I'll sacrifice my left leaning social views for the more important stuff when voting time comes.

This has happened to a number of people in Tennessee. Show up to get tested, leave after an hour without being tested, and getting positive tests results back.

I mentioned on here a couple of days ago that my wife tested positive and the doctor wouldn’t let me get tested because it is assumed that everyone in our household are positive in their eyes. Someone else said it in a reply that we are probably counted in the results. They did ask specifically how many people were in our household and considered us positives.
But I don’t know if they count us officially or if it was just that doctor just wanting to know himself.

but aren't all flu strains called coronaviruses?

Are you serious?

Influenza (what causes the flu) and coronavirus are two completely different types of viruses. This was established very early on in this pandemic allllll over the news.

How can people still NOT know this????

It would be like saying HIV and Hepatitis are the same because they are both in the blood.

Um because I’m not a fricking nurse and have zero interest in that.

Way to be rude as hell though.

But you don’t need to be a nurse.

This was allllll over the news since March. Article after article explaining the difference between the two.

Sorry....but not trying to be rude about it.

But everyone seems to have such strong opinions about this....yet still don’t understand basic information about it.

ETA: COVID pandemic has affected all of us in some way and you have zero interest in “stuff like that”?

It seems like they would verify info before proceeding, so this seems unlikely outside of gross incompetence by location.

It seems like it.

But, when you have "mobile" testing centers and drive thru testing centers with nurses and doctors dressed in hazmat gear in 95° heat testing hundreds of people in a few hours, I'm betting the paper work isn't as thorough as a scheduled appointment for bloodwork.

I have first hand knowledge of two older couples that did not get tested but were sent letters saying their test were positive. They had gone to a site to get tested and filled out some papers. While waiting they were told no more test and to come back the next day, which they didn’t do.
