The US has been fighting Muslims since the Barbary Wars, and Christians have been defending their lands from Muslims for over a thousand years. Not really sure if the ‘Deep State’ has much to do with the whole anti-Muslim sentiment many think it does.

We were losing a grip on that region as far as dealing oil in dollars. If allowed to grow, it would have ruined the dollar (when you consider the dollar is backed by nothing). Drastic measures had to be taken. Bribes weren't working. Those countries no longer wanted our fiat currency. Who could blame them?
So the Deep State ramped up the Muslim terrorist propaganda so that when 9/11 happened (just a coincidence I'm sure) Americans fully backed an invasion, which unbeknownst to us was nothing more than regime change. Had nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.
It answers the question, if the "terrorists" were mostly Saudi's, why were we invading Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya and later Yemen.
Additionally, Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan, Libya, Cuba, North Korea and Iran were also the only countries on the planet prior to 9/11 without a central bank. The globalists wanted them on board. After 9/11, only Cuba, North Korea and Iran remain independent.
