guess it depends on what kind of illness
if cancer, you will most likely be on some strong pain meds at some point

I think I've still got a while left but I am already thinking about taking up smoking. They say it takes cigarettes at least 40-50 years to kill you and what's the point of dying with nice clean lungs? I'd look pretty stupid laying there on the autopsy table, "well, he's dead as hell... but his lungs sure are nice and pink.
I want to get my money's worth out of my lungs. I also love how a little bit of smoke gets a drama-queen rise out of some people... I can hear it now: "eeewww, omg, I smelled a tiny whiff of smoke, ewww, the second-hand toxins have damaged my nose, I'm dizzy, I might faint, I'm going to puke"... I think it's going to be great.

My younger brother had a fraternity brother with some kind of intestinal disorder that most likely would kill him by age 25. He gave zero fricks about anything. He'd hit on any girl, start fights with guys twice his size, etc.
