Under what authority are the uniformed men operating? At no point did they bother to identify themselves before holding the bikers at gunpoint.
They didn't look like any kind of official security to me. For one thing they were under armed.

it's best not to frick with those dudes, they have a different set of rules, and rest assured, they've got plenty of fire power

They had pistols with which they did not seem to be terribly proficient.

Don't feel like reading this whole thread. Did this happen at the one in Baton Rouge?

I sincerely hope that you aren't trolling me and it turns out that someone besides me didn't know what Area 51 was.......but I fear that this is a trap.

can you fly drones there or is the airspace restricted?
There is a large restricted area around Groom Lake.
This picture is of the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR) airspace. R4808A right in the center is the specific restricted area around Groom Lake.
ETA: Corrected the name from 4908A to 4808A.

I refuse to believe that there are living, breathing Americans who genuinely don't know what Area 51 is.

Ok. I guess I am the only dumbass who had to Google "area 51" because I didn't know what it was.
Unless you were born yesterday or just woke up from a 60 year coma, there is no way in hell that you don't know what Area 51 is. Nice troll.

a few Vegas locals told me that if you just wander into the area like a lost tourist or a kid chasing his frisbee, security isn't too hard on you. But if you go intentionally fricking around the place (like these two dipshits did) they get far more aggressive and dickish. They essentially know who is stumbling around and who is trying to snoop. The snoopers are treated more harshly according to local lore.
They are watching everyone who gets close. I'm sure they can tell. Like I said before, they buffer zone they have created is much larger than when I was a kid living in LV. fricking around out there is asking for serious trouble.
