Where I am working, they check temps Everytime some one enters the gate. They work outside, so how are you supposed to tell the difference between a temperature of 100.4 and someone working in the sun at 2 pm?
It's stupid.
It's stupid.

The one time I entered a building that required a temperature screen it was about 55°F outside.
I was out in that weather for about 5 minutes before going inside.
When the Nurse shot my temperature I asked her what was the result.
She said “97.4”.
Hurr dee durr.

Almost all of the positive cases here had temperatures under 100.

Yep. Temperature screening for COVID is a feel-good measure but isn't exactly efficient.

The temperature checking is so stupid. I know when I have a fever. I can feel it and if I suspect I have a fever I’m absolutely not going to work. On the other hand, I have no idea if I have the coronavirus. Why? Because most people who are actively carrying the coronavirus virus don’t have any physical symptoms such as a fever.

More importantly, most people who get it won't even know they had it.

It’s the equivalent of taking off your shoes at the airport.

Something the WHO recommends against doing for influenza pandemics, according to a 2019 document...
So it's a good idea after all?
