One of my sister's former best friends faked vagina cancer (wtf) for years. Like, claimed to have stage 4 & be in hospice for awhile. It all came out because someone discovered she made up a fake girlfriend. The fake girlfriend was Facebook friends with everyone in the circle, and had talked to them on the phone. For a couple years. I can't remember how they found out, but it was some serious sociopath shite.

These were homeschool moms. Which explains everything.

that's crazy. reminds me of that show Catfish where people catch fish in rivers and lakes with their bare hands. that is insane. those fish have really pointy fins and you can get stabbed pretty bad if you're not careful.

Like she told him she was taking chemo drugs for a long time, but hadn't lost any hair.

Not saying she wasn't lying, but I've been taking a chemo drug for 4.5 years, and haven't lost any hair to speak of...

I'm sure some have thought of challenging me on it also.

I just play it safe and assume they're all faking it. Not getting any sympathy from me.

Not sure if he ever did it, but a friend from college was always talking about how much tail he could pull if he used the "i have cancer" story at a bar.

His plan was to go to a place like Pat O's or somewhere really festive, sit alone, not talk to anyone, and just kinda not draw attn to himself, other than by drinking alone/looking a little somber in a place like that.

Then, when some a half way decent lady came up to him chat, he'd tell her then.......ntt jre

I've had patients who have reported having cancer and surgery. When I received their records there was no history of cancers and the surgeries were for benign type things.

you should have broken the news to them that you fear their cancer has returned…then ask for the previous doctors name so you could confer with him.

My wife watches those Real Housewives shows. On one episode this one bitch was yelling at this other bitch and said her husband was lying about having cancer, but he probably isn't, but he could be.

Lawd it was crazy

that episode is actually why I got the idea to start the thread. Brooks probably does have cancer but there is something strange about it.

They probably had the surgeries in Mexico where it's cheaper, and you couldn't read their records cause they're in Spanish.

When I was dating a (now) ex of mine, her ex tried to get her back by saying he had cancer. His mother confirmed it was b.s.

anyone ever run across someone who claims to have cancer but its hard to find any real evidence of it?

Yep.

I dated a girl who on our third date told me that she had inoperable brain cancer. She said that she was scared to tell me because she thought it would scare me away. I told her I wasn't scared and would still like to get to know her.

We ended up dating for almost a year, with her cancer being a huge part of how she lied and manipulated me. She was a pathological liar and would stoop to any means to get what she wanted.

Luckily, her bullshite finally became too much and I decided that I didn't give a frick if our whole circle of friends thought I was the a-hole that broke up with the dying cancer victim, I wasn't taking any more of her shite.

I broke up with her and she did everything she could to both get me back and smear my name. I held strong and moved on.

Fast forward about 4 months and I ran in to her "best friend" that had also distanced herself from cancer girl due to all her bullshite. We started comparing stories and before long it was clear that the stories didn't add up. The lies were just blatant!

Each layer of the onion we peeled away got us closer and closer to suspecting the unthinkable, along with all of these other lies, could she be lying about the cancer too??? No way! No one would do that!

Would they?

Friend ended up calling her and confronting her about it. I called a day later and did the same. Cancer girl ended up confessing to us that it was all a lie, and that she has mental issues. She didn't specify but I'm betting she has borderline personality disorder. She was also addicted to pain meds it turns out.

We spread the word to all of the community of friends and each and every one began to piece together lies she'd told them.

Cancer girl had to disappear. She ended up losing all of her friends and had to start over. She's supposedly "better now" and trying to keep her life in order and has surrendered her soul to Christ.

Me, I guess the Universe had some hard lessons in store for me, lessons that I know I'll never forget now. I'm just thankful I didn't propose to her (something she was pressuring me to do) and I wore a condom (something she told me I didn't have to do because the cancer meds made her sterile).

I know it's cliche' here on the OT but seriously, bitches

be

crazy.
