Be up a little higher? We've had this argument in here before...higher center of gravity is NOT a good thing unless you need it. Being up higher as far as luxury goes is a fabrication of American's collective imagination. I won't beat it into the ground, and I love luxury vehicles, I just don't understand the SUV group think. I think they're slowly becoming mini vans ( just look at Pilots and Pathfinders) and in very poor style. And I love luxury sports wagons.

Will you even not do this in every thread about an SUV? You're the extreme minority, and everyone already knows it.

No you're not. It's an opinion. There is no right or wrong.

No one said good or bad, I said like, and regardless of what you think , that will not change what I like, if you dont like them , dont drive them.

GF got one for her loaner car while hers was getting serviced. I thought it was pretty awesome.

If you could get the 16 Acura RDX AWD Advanced (refreshed) or the 15 Lexus RX AWD loaded (old design) for roughly the same price, which would you do?

I prefer the RX in that situation. But I just prefer how Lexus/Toyota feels compared to Acura/Honda. You can't go wrong with either I'd imagine, but I'd get an RX F Sport.

Wife has one and she likes it. The power isn't a V8 but it's not bad. Dual climate control has saved an argument or two, the wife is always cold and I'm always hot. Back seat is a little small, reclining the seat back helps that. I don't regret getting it.

I love mine. I had a Cadillac SRX before. I wanted something small yet big enough to carry my Costco haul . I think it handles very well, and I keep it in eco mode pretty much all of the time. It accelerates significantly better than my old SRX. It is not as luxurious inside as the SRX, but it is nice, and a lot nicer than the Mercedes GLA I test drove.

Most all of my driving is on crappy Nola roads, and I don't find it to be a rough ride.

That said, I've put less than 3500 miles on it in a year, so it isn't like I'm tearing up the roads in it.

this is the correct answer

I just got one and love it. I hope to move up to the xc90 in 3 years or so

Sidebar to any potential Lexus buyers in NOLA or BR:

Price Leblanc owns both Lexus of Metairie and Lexus of Baton Rouge.

Don't expect to work either against the other.

The dealerships in Jackson and Mobile simply don't deal.

Park Place in Dallas (Plano or Grapevine) will smoke all of them^ in pricing.

I'd imagine the Houston or Atlanta Lexus markets are pretty competitive as to pricing as well, I don't have first-hand knowledge of them.
