Small towns in S Louisiana produce the best friends alive, especially thise who make it off to college, etc.
You really realize how great you had it, especially when going home to no traffic, easy life.
frick bigger cities and traffic. You spend a qtr of your life sitting in a car.

There's a cool little hardware store right on the service road I've stopped at a few times. They got all kinda cajun cookin stuff like pots, burners, etc.

It was originally known as Pouppeville.

I had to look up the spelling and learned that it also is home to St. Joseph Cemetery, listed in Ripley’s Believe it or Not! as the only cemetery in the United States facing north-south.
