So if you just love to party and be in a club, you can actually earn a decent living doing this? Like own your own place and build wealth??

I’m sure it’s gig where you need to be connected in that industry or start off small and make a name for yourself. A high end night club in Vegas won’t allow just anyone to apply.

You need great people skills and bring a lot of value to the venue.

Knew a guy (neighbor) that did this sort of work in Houston. Club promoter, host, etc. Was a great salesman/people person. Always dressed to the nines. Made like $35,000 a year but lived a celebrity lifestyle and made people want to be around him. He always had to portray that image. Boned an OT 8-9 every night. Prob a fun job when you’re young. Not sure what the next step was career wise.

If you looked at his Instagram it was private jets, fast cars, and $3000 suits. In reality he lived in a studio apartment with a roommate.

This. You have to be very charismatic and well connected to make it to that point. These guys are making moves outside all around Vegas as well so you have to have your name around the city (i.e. last minute fancy restaurant reservations, luxury retail comps, etc.)

So we had a guy as part of an agency coordinate our bachelor party. “VIP club access” and essentially coordinate the weekend. It’s basically a point guy for their groups that come in.

Ours wasn’t very good because he wouldn’t hook us up with drugs. Guess a few of us seemed suspect.

This is true. We had to make a last minute swap on dinner one night and he was able to get us into STK at the time, which was still a big thing 6-7 years ago.

We used to hire host to put us on list for clubs. 10 guys in Vegas weren’t getting into a club without being on “the list” so you pay someone to get you on it. They would also get us upgrades on rooms, drugs, women, etc. This was 20 years ago. Basically a concierge you pay.

Sounds like you are jealous with your faltering marriage, inability to fit in a size 34 and kids who bat 9th in coaches pitch
