I've given up driving on it and either cut through parking lots or go around and just hit the red lights if I need to cross. My wife scares the frick out of me driving going from Lowe's to outback

shite it ain't that bad just gotta not drive like a grandma. when you see a gap get in it.

It could definitely use improvement but the bitching people do about it is ridiculous.

Check out the Montessori school for the kids. Really the best school in the area.

Big Mike's is really good. Boudreax and Thibodauxs good but crowded.

Houma 1 hr to NOand 1.5 to BR

Westside/ 311 St Charles area best housing. Some descent places near TGMC

That is one of my favorite comedies.

Almost ever other line is a zinger.

Have you been to the new strip club in Thibodaux since the g-spot closed? Is it all black strippers?

Agree traffic on MLK is terrible at times, but not crazy.

It is all about timing, but if they could interconnect the parking lots that would improve some of the hassle of crossing the road to go back a store. The Walmart side is like that but not continuous. The Lowe’s side good luck making it back to Old Navy or Copland’s.

I remember a few years back someone’s solution for the MLK problems were 3 traffic circles on the route. But that was before the Westside Blvd. extension and a few other extensions were done.

I use to go to Yesterday’s and tell women I just came in off my rig. Their husband or boyfriend just left so it was fairly easy to pick up some slut for a one night stand.

I spent a good bit of my free time in the woods between VE and Lafayette Woods. We had trails all over back there.

Know them very well. We lived on Kirkglen Ct. And I managed the Tasty Pizza for a year or so. The Vietnamese were just starting to move in back then though we never had any problems with them. I think they took it over now.

OP: I was born in TGMC. As far as Houma as a whole, I don't go very often. It just seems crowded af. Only time we go is when the kids want Chick-Fil-A or I want some Hooters wings. And since Thibodaux got an Academy me and my lil dude go there now.

I've lived near Ellick and been there plenty and Houma is way better imo. As mentioned, live out in Bayou Blue, Summerfield, Ellendale or out on 311.

Rouse's, Canata's, Sam's and Walmarks for groceries. They have Southland Mall but calling it a mall is a huge compliment.

I always explain Houma as a place that has everything you need, but nothing you want.
