I work in natchitoches and Alexandria. And there’s a guy with my company that lives in de Quincy and works in Deridder. He wants to work as many extra days as he can for me in Alexandria because he gets to overnight in a hotel.

I lived there until about a decade ago. DQ is not exactly a place I would go out of my way to stop if you're looking for a good time. It has 2 bars and you should avoid both. The only good thing it offers for people passing thru is the aforementioned Faustos.
Eta: I nearly forgot about "The Golden Tiger" casino. Yeah, don't go there either.

As someone who currently lives in DeQuincy, there isn't a damn thing to do here. You can eat at Fausto's or the Mexican restaurant for your "romantic" dinner and spend the rest of your time at the too nice for this town hotel.
