These are the ones I especially don't answer. That's how they get you - by spoofing numbers close to yours or your area. If it's someone I need to talk to, they'll leave a voice msg.

I get multiple calls per day from numbers with my area code, a 555 prefix, and different last four numbers. I’ve tried multiple apps to try to block any of these combos but all I’ve been able to do is block individual numbers, and I’m not about to enter 10,000 separate combos.
Anyone have any advice?

Voice over Internet Protocol (also voice over IP, VoIP or IP telephony) is a methodology and group of technologies for the delivery of voice communications and multimedia sessions over Internet Protocol (IP) networks, such as the Internet. The terms Internet telephony, broadband telephony, and broadband phone service specifically refer to the provisioning of communications services (voice, fax, SMS, voice-messaging) over the public Internet, rather than via the public switched telephone network (PSTN). The steps and principles involved in originating VoIP telephone calls are similar to traditional digital telephony and involve signaling, channel setup, digitization of the analog voice signals, and encoding. Instead of being transmitted over a circuit-switched network, the digital information is packetized, and transmission occurs as IP packets over a packet-switched network. They transport media streams using special media delivery protocols that encode audio and video with audio codecs, and video codecs. Various codecs exist that optimize the media stream based on application requirements and network bandwidth; some implementations rely on narrowband and compressed speech, while others support high-fidelity stereo codecs. Some popular codecs include µ-law and a-law versions of G.711, G.722, an open source voice codec known as iLBC, a codec that uses only 8 kbit/s each way called G.729, and many others. Early providers of voice-over-IP services offered business models and technical solutions that mirrored the architecture of the legacy telephone network. Second-generation providers, such as Skype, built closed networks for private user bases, offering the benefit of free calls and convenience while potentially charging for access to other communication networks, such as the PSTN. This limited the freedom of users to mix-and-match third-party hardware and software. Third-generation providers, such as Google Talk, adopted the concept of federated VoIP—which is a departure from the architecture of the legacy networks.[1] These solutions typically allow dynamic interconnection between users on any two domains on the Internet when a user wishes to place a call. In addition to VoIP phones, VoIP is also available on many personal computers and other Internet access devices. Calls and SMS text messages may be sent over mobile data or Wi-Fi.[2]

I pressed that 1 button one day just to see who/what would answer. Some dude answered and said may I help you. I said - yeah, take me off your damn call list. As soon as I said the first three words he hung up on me and they still call.

I had a pissed off old man call me and asked why I called him 5 times. Which I hadn't, I didn't even know him. I just thought he had misread the number.
AND STAY OFF MY LAWN!

Spoofers...waste as much of their time as you possibly can.

Get an app like Hiya or Privacy Star. They learn to recognize bogus calls and automatically block them.
Someone still needs to invent a way to recognize and block spoofed calls, but those work for now.

I used to do that. But now it seems like every BS call is a hangup call. I can't get a live person to troll.
I also try to record any robocalls just in case I can trick them into giving me a call back number. Then I can sue them.

I've been getting calls for over a month from someone saying "This is our FINAL notice that you may be eligible for blah blah blah".
Final, huh? Then quit calling me.

I get what you are saying and I realize it's not likely, but I don't care. With the prices of today's mobile plans and devices they need to get together and fix it, or at least try. It's freaking annoying.

I’ve seen a neighbor’s name and tel number on caller I’d, picked up and it was a recorded sales call. THAT needs to stop.

Download the Hiya app on your phone. Used to get 5+ calls a day, now have only gotten 5 total in the last 2 months

Robokiller - was just of Fox News. Suppose to be good, keeps them on the phone. I just installed it. I average about 8-10 calls per day, haven't answered one in about a month
