I guess the yellow/brown is sleet and purple is (freezing) rain??

Yes. Is there a legend on the app you're using?

Definitely going to lose all the Italian Cypresses. They are completely coated in ice and started to droop.

How many do you have? Did they Ice last year? You'd be surprised how much they bounce back

No. I just copied the address of the loop on wfaa.com

They have several different zoom levels from national to all the local DFW metro counties.

Just lost power in north Dallas. It flickered a few times earlier, but this one seems like a long one.

I had 10 planted when we built in 2012. Lost 3 last year but we didn’t get all this ice last year to weigh down the branches.

Any news on why? Weather hasn’t gotten nearly bad enough yet for that.

Power Outage US site is showing Oncor with 1,866 customers out in Dallas County out of over 1 million. So it looks to be a localized issue.

No idea. We just moved to this house a few months ago and our neighbors told us they didn’t lose power during last year’s winter event.

Seems localized. Has nothing to do with the weather.

You might be able to find your projected restoration time on the map linked above if you are with Oncor.

Glad it won't be long. I have family/friends in the metroplex so I'm keeping an eye on things, but it's good night here also. Work tomorrow in SE LA.

So glad it's 36 in my little NETX County and not below freezing. Its been a steady shower for several hours and picking up. Waiting for the STHTF around 9a.
