I think in part is to be able to text anyone in any country.

Snapchat only makes sense if you have your group of friends using it too. It's basically just a quicker group chat

Haven't used most of them.
Never had a Snapchat, Instagram, or any dating app.
Set up a work related Twitter account once, to test something, but we didn't run with it so I deleted it.
Have Facebook mainly as an address book.

Whatsapp is the best platform for this.
I don't use snapchat or instagram. Tried them, didn't see the purpose.

Never heard of that one. My employees live all over the world and they all seem to use whatsapp. I've grown to really like it myself and use it to talk and text family back home.

Never used snapchat, I never used Red Box, but never had the need to with Ondemand and all..
Social media I used:
Facebook: deleted my account years ago.
Twitter: I currently use it and have been doing so for several years. It is my preferred way of getting news.
Instagram: I currently use and have been doing so for about over a year.
So add whatever else there is to snapchat as social media I never used.
I have never used any other type of smartphone other than iPhone.
