We’ll try getting paid what you deserve to do a job like this without a union. YOU CANT
Corporations need to be checked. We need more unions protecting and fighting for wages and benefits and abuse of work authority.
What justification do CEOs have for million dollar salaries ??
The labor is what makes UPS the money. Take care of the labor.

Revenue and the board that votes them in.
Ceo pay is no different than professional athlete pay.
There is a limited number of "the best" and everyone wants it.
Simple suppy/demand economics.
If you need a left handed bullpen pitcher, prepare to pay out the nose because they are rare.
If you need a CEO to lead a 98 billion dollar revenue stream, prepare to pay out the nose.

How do you calculate your deserved salary? How’s it compare to FedEx drivers? DHL?

It's not just about money.
I'm joining a union next month and going to learn a trade. I'll almost certainly make less money than I would if I stayed on my current path, but that's okay. Pension and benefits, plus my wife makes good money.

Don't feel sorry for them, these drivers chose this. Why? Because they have far above average pay & benefits. Don't act like their underpaid. The ones that can do better, leave.
UPS had an operating profit of $13.1 billion. They can afford to throw the part timers a bone, I know the shareholders will be mad if they only make a profit of 11 billion in 2024, but infinite growth is unsustainable.

You keep talking about benefits. Do benefits pay a mortgage?
Maybe they could just hire more managers to reduce the workload rather than burn them out until they leave. I guess that would cut into their profit margin though.
I don't really care. I just hate the corporate mentality of let's burn through workers and cut every cost we can find so that we can accomplish infinite growth and get big bonuses for the board even though we can easily afford to employ more people.
frick the workers, dividends and bonuses are the only thing that matters.

A veteran UPS driver makes $100k/yr. You make $100k/yr. The out of pocket costs for their benefits are practically nil. Your job offers you benefits for your family at a cost of $1000/month. Effectively, yes, they have $1000 more per month for their mortgage. Their insurance premium, copays, and ancillary medical expenses are practically 100% covered. Do you understand personal finance enough to see this?
Also, these laborer drivers tend to live in very nice homes. I had one in my old neighborhood, high school diploma, not very bright, but worked from the shoulders down. If he quits UPS, he won't find the same level of income w/o working two, maybe three jobs. And at least he knew that.
Of course the drivers can afford a mortgage. The strike is about the part-timers pay. Your whole response is pointless
You posted

*"Part-time union employees at UPS enjoy the same low-cost health and medical benefits as full-time employees after a brief waiting period* – that includes no premiums and low or no copays" LINK to UPS. Their benefits are great, almost like they're from a pre-Obamacare era.
I said do the benefits pay a mortgage?
Then u ramble about benefits helping drivers making 100k afford a mortgage.
I'm sure the part timers enjoy their benefits. I can also understand why they want more actual wages

The strike is for part timers who worked through the pandemic while shareholders and executives made bank. Those workers in the warehouses (the backbone of UPS) didn't get anything from it.
