If you took out the MS Delta, Mississippi education would look vastly like the rest of the nation. We are one of the few majority white city school districts. Our funding is highest in the state. Makes huge differences.

An ACT score will get you exempt from praxis 1. You still have to complete the lcre training and take praxis 2 and specific subject praxis. I think it's 5weeks at the building and then a few weeks student teaching. They should be offering online classes soon.
