That Lapua round is a boss!!

They should reserve the .338 Lapua rounds for BLM/Black panther perps. To expensive to waste on the thuggin it and lovin it crowd.

There are some real pieces of shite in the thread.

Those down playing the shot don't have a clue.

Meh, I've shot an elk from 390 yards.

Military snipers have made shots over 1000 yards.

No one is downplaying the shot, actually the people that do have a clue are the ones saying he should have made that shot very easily because that's what he's trained to do. His training paid off.

Relax dude.

Everyone is glad the guy made a good shot, but 100+ yards isn't a great feat.

Most of the guys who hunt have killed deer well in excess of that distance, sometimes on the run. So yes, we have a clue.

BRPD has a designated team (actually multiple ).

I didn't know this. I assumed the bigger cities did but wasn't sure about BR.

Hitting a mobile target at 100+ yards isn't quite as easy as some of you think. Factor in the fact that the target is shooting back at you and the adrenaline from seeing your fellow officers down makes this that much harder of a shot. I would like to know how many of you have been in an active shooter situation.

Easy to shoot distance when nothing is shooting back. Military snipers are generally firing from a concealed position at an unsuspecting target. Wait for it to all to come out. They were taking fire and didn't blink an eye.

Did you really just compare shooting a deer to shooting a man who's trying to shoot you back? Please tell me you aren't serious.
