You know I have one.

Mine's on the front of the house, though.

To me the most amazing thing about this was the SWAT team was able to get to the site so quick. Supposedly 8 minutes from the first officer shot till they took him out correct ?

Had this been a normal weekday and not a Sunday morning. does this happen ?

Based on the your experience, you know, the time YOU responded to "multiple officers down" and took out the active shooter from ground level in broad daylight in the middle of Baton Rouge.

Tough situation for sure, but I dropped a deer from 165 yards last season while standing straight up without using a support with my father in laws gun that I had only shot a couple times before. I haven't had near the training that this Hero had, but have been shooting my entire life. I'm not trying to take anything away from this guy, the opposite in fact, it's a shot I'm sure he could make 99.999% of the time.

You also shot a stationary or slow moving target that had no clue you were there while under no pressure whatsoever. Kind of a big difference.

And again, NO ONE EVER SAID IT WAS SOME KIND OF MIRACLE BULLET-BENDING SHOT. From the pics I've seen it's likely that this shot was made around/through some type of obstacles and the biggest part of all of this is the SWAT guy was able to get himself ready and make that shot in about 10 minutes. I'm not saying that he was the only guy in the world that could make that shot. Only that it takes a special person to do and this guy definitely is special.

Exactly. That's really all I think people were saying. The military guys and the one guy that is apparently some highly skilled Marine recon team member have only been in those situation when deployed and at war. The SWAT guy was probably up getting ready for church with his family or cooking breakfast or whatever normal people do on a Sunday morning.

It never bothered my Dad, that I know of.

He was NOPD and killed a guy that was coming at him with a meat cleaver. (In 1965-ish)

It was close work, and it took 2 shots, but the second shot was heartfelt.

I used to pick on him that it took him two shots, but he'd always say, "well, let's dig him up and ask him how good a shot I am".
