Suspects accused of dressing up as a bear for insurance fraud

Brilliant plan. Terrible execution.

My BIL’s SUV rental pretty much got destroyed, particularly the interior leather at the Y-camp outside of Estes Park.

Their teenagers left the snacks in the back of the SUV cause they were too tired after an all day drive to grab everything once they arrived that night. He left the doors unlocked and a momma black blear and her set of cubs had a field day, even splayed out on the hood once they devoured everything inside.

From the supposed damage in that video as opposed to the real damage a family of bears can accomplish is light years apart…and yes, in my BIL’s case the bears gained entry by the mother simply opening up the SUV’s door handles.

To this day. I still laugh my arse off recalling and retelling this story. My BIL’s family was eventually awakened by the disturbance as they were sleeping with windows open in Colorado and got a fair amount on video, they triggered the car alarm, turned on the exterior lighting bears were like frick off we’re digesting that wonderful meal.
