That sucks and is annoying as hell when it happens.

I've had good luck with Superior's fajitas though. Did you order off the lighter lunch menu or the dinner menu?

The reviews on the steak fajita meat have been outstanding whether in the fajita nachos or standard fajitas.

Yall motherfrickers are snotty Foodboard faqs.

When construction first started they had a sign out front that said "Superior Grill coming fall of 2016!"

Just a little off

I’m a fajita snob and thought Jose’s lacked a lot of flavor. The gf got some sort of enchiladas that were awesome though. Also enjoyed their salsa and queso. Maybe they are just working out some of the kinks

I’ll give it a try again as I live right in the area but will prob just get something other than fajitas. Their menu was pretty impressive

Yea they were relying on Kenner staff for few months. First 5-6 times we went it was the best service/food/price ever kinda situation. I've since eaten at both now(Kenner twice).

May be a few issues getting locals in BR up to par now that they're up and running.

The family running this one has impeccable customer service.

And their drink prices/specials on Margaritas are legit.

What does this mean?
Like he picked the location of the BR Don Jose's restaurant? The Kenner restaurant?

Or he Played guitar at The night club that used to be in that location(different building) in the early 2000s?

BTW: Drove by the Highland Location and took a good slow drive look in the lot. Looks VERY nice. I can dig it.

Where is this place? I'm always looking for new places to set personal tequila consumption records.

The place has taken off simply by word-of-mouth in BR and just last month FB ads

Don't think I've ever seen more than 5 cars in the parking lot there. I went for lunch one day shortly after they opened and it was the definition of meh

They didn't know at that time that they would have to get the entire property rezoned.

The front section of the land (the part closest to Highland Road that was previously Arzi's) was zoned for serving alcohol. The back section that used to be Monjuni's was also zoned for serving alcohol.

But the middle part, the section that was the dress shop and the nails salon, was not zoned for serving alcohol.

Superior wanted to be able to serve alcohol throughout their restaurant of course, and not just the front and back sections. So they had to get the entire property zoned for alcohol service.

That took time to get done.

Well that was easy. I had to post-stalk Tonydtiger for a few pages to realize he's a twat who judges everything and everyone and loves to relive his days going to Raimers on his motorcycle to get the best poboy ever in the late 70s. All while shitting on Kamados and Green Eggs in favor of his expert-designed fancy grill he bought in January b/c he cooks for 15-20 people often.

You? You post on the soccer board all day. Pussy. Shut up

BTW. I'm totally having fun. Don't kill me IRL.

I heard horror stories about that condition of the kitchen in that place when they gutted it after Great Wall closed.

Great Wall became inedible. That's hard to do to college kids. Used to be so good/cheap.

Not surprised.

I've only had drinks at the Kenner Jose's. But several friends have imbibed in Baton Rouge location and their consensus was a better deal and drink than Superior. Now I like some Superior drinks but they be spensive.

And Suck ma balls Tony. Tara sucked. Woodlawn Rules.

Well, here I was thinking that maybe someone dropped you on your head when you were a small child.
Woodlawn, huh? That explains a lot.
Babble on, son.
