Look at all the truck threads where people just shite all over Ram for things that they haven't had issues with since the early 2000s.

Sure, but generally speaking Tundra's and Ram 1500s arent the same price. Many guys are choosing the Rams due to price or other reasons. Tundra's mileage sucks, but if they had the same mileage and the same price I think most would choose the Tundra.

Sienna's and Pacifica's appear to be similar in price? Maybe Chrysler takes more off of MSRP?

I'm not saying the Pacifica isn't a good vehicle. I'm just surprised its as popular as it is.

RAMs can cost more.

This is just ignorant. Ram offers a better truck with much better features. You are basing your opinion off what you read from Toyota/Tundra fanboys post on the internet. I will not argue that they were junk in the 90s and early 2000s, but that was almost 20 years ago.

Because you're essentially talking out of your arse with your opinion How aren't you getting this?

The Grand Caravans were pretty nice looking, but we never test drove one.

owned a 1997 GC

Between the soft seats and suspension, it was like floating on a damn cloud. Great distance driver. Put 376K miles over 13 years

Then we got an Astro. This exact color scheme. Learned how to drive in that Astro.

Astro has a strange following now that it is no longer in production. Van people are weird.

We had a 2007 Toyota Sienna Limited that just sold to my sister. We never had to do anything to it other than a recall notice. According to Comsumers Report it is much more reliable than a Honda. WE had a honda before the Toyota and had transmission issues with it. The Toyota has a better ride than the honda.

10 year ago I would have never expected myself to say this BUT before you consider the Honda you might want to look into their recent reliability data. For example, the 2019 Odyssey has a 1 out of 5 predicted reliability score on Consumer Reports the same as the Pacifica. Both are essentially the best mini-van products discounting reliability.

We had a Toyota bread-box It was a death trap that couldn't get out of its own way, but it was very reliable.

Is that the mid engine one they had?

Growing up, we had a late 80's Chevy Astro minivan from Rainbow Van Conversions out of Picuyane MS. Vellore seats, miniblinds, and curtains for the windows....pimpin machine

Watching this all from afar over the last few years it seems that the beancounters did it to them, they got designs on beating Toyota at the marketplace and that just wasn't going to happen in the short or medium term.

This is Honda's CEO had to say:

“There’s no doubt we lost our mojo – our way as an engineering company that made Honda Honda,” Chief Executive Takahiro Hachigo

Fess up, how many transmissions did it take?

Our 1997 GC accrued 217K miles in 14 years and it took 5 transmissions to do it (in hindsight, going with Jasper instead of factory Chrysler may have been a mistake. However, Jasper's warranty paid for transmissions 3-5).

Wife has Kia Sedona...loves it. Honda Odyssey is nice but way overpriced. Toyota hasn’t upgraded the sienna in a while...it was disappointing
