Honestly makes Cox and Comcast look like NASA. I've had these idiots as a cable provider since August and I've had not one but two cable boxes blow out, had my HD get screwed up for months on end. They send out technicians who literally - literally - just come in and reboot the cable box and leave. Customer service treats you like you're in a Hanoi POW camp circa 1970. Seriously, frick these people.

And the thing that really gets me at the end of the day is that I'm just completely powerless against the shite. The way cable companies operate in this country is borderline criminal.

I'm told that bc net neutrality is abolished that you will have cable competition arriving in your area shortly.

Eatel, Cox, and the paint department at Lowes give them a run for their money.

I've had Suddenlink for 7 years with minimal issues. Definitely nothing like you've described.

Don't worry, with net neutrality gone the cable monopolies will work more efficiently moving forward.

Blow em up on twitter. They were giving me the run around on on coming out and fixing the cable line getting pulled out of the side of my house by a truck.

At first they said they wouldnt come out for 4-5 days...
I tweeted about 2 dozen times at them bitching and showing pictures of the downed line. Even tagged comcast in a few of them.

they responded and I got a tech out there the next day.

Best part is comcast started responding to me to see if they could help.

I've had nothing but good experiences with Eatel. Its high as giraffe pussy, but it works like it is supposed to.

For the four years I was stationed at Fort Polk and lived in the beautiful town of Rosepine I was blessed to have Suddenlink as my cable and phone provider. There were issues now and again, but nowhere near the headaches I have had with Comcast.

Solution: switch to Dish or cut the cable. I want to cut the cable but the wife likes her shows.

BTW, I am going with 40 mbs of DSL instead of 100 mbs of Comcast because I was so tired of them and refuse to give them any more of my money.
