Never a good idea. Hard to have any leverage in the relationship dynamic.

Completely wrong.

Men are more likely to stray in the ldr, in my experience

The thing is, women get loads of male attention daily. The woman simply has to be somewhat attractive. This girl I used to work with in Iowa was a 3/10 at best and yet she would log onto Match and POF and OKCupid every day and have 50+ messages in her inbox from thirsty men. Same with Tinder. She would have dozens of matches.

If you aren't around her and in her sight daily its hard to remain the #1 man in her life, especially if she is getting male attention daily.

My fiancée and I have had almost nothing but a long distance relationship for the last 3.5 years. Ups and downs but we've made it work and we both believe our relationship is stronger because of the difficulties involved.

More like completely right

Have fun trying to be the #1 man in a woman's life when she gets loads of male attention daily.

Just go to any average looking girl's Facebook or Instagram and look at all the likes she gets from male orbiters any time she posts a picture.

PROXIMITY is an underrated aspect when it comes to mating. If a woman is getting attention from Male A who is just as attractive as Male B, yet Male A is nearby and Male B is 100 miles away, she will go with Male A.

Like I said. The second a new Chad comes along in her life, your long distance relationship is finished. Even if not, how do you know she isn't dicking Chad on the side while in a LDR. It's why I tell men to dump their girlfriend any time she goes on an overseas trip without you.

I don't mean to pry, but can you give a rough sketch of y'all's relationship? I'm always impressed and fascinated by people who make long distance work.

My wife and I were a couple hours away from each other the first two years of college. Only saw each other on weekends. Then I moved to Colorado Springs, and we spent about a year being from Colorado-Tuscaloosa away from each other. That was tough.

ETA: We were high school sweethearts, got married at 20, and have been married for 10 years.

Maybe it's just the women you've known, and that's been your experience.

Maybe it's something else. But everything you wrote is specific to your experience. You are wrong about most of it. But, to make a blanket generalization like that is proof that you're making an emotional argument.

There are women who are only interested in being with one man. There are plenty.

It can work. Depends on the two individuals involved.

I was sort of seeing this Brazilian girl that helped with some consulting for the company I work for. I went down there once after she left and decided it wasn't going to work out.

You are such a pathetic, sorry excuse for a man. Grow the frick up with your stupid bullshite you spew on here. No one should have leverage over the other in a relationship, it's not supposed to be about control. Have you even seen a vagina in real life?
