I am not a teacher but I do mentor kids in my free time and for someone to make a statement about the children acting out must be from single parent homes is ignorant as frick. News flash there are children who come from two parent households that have behavior problems.

And another question so you make over 650k doing IT work? If so I need to change my profession.

i never said or implied ALL children acting out MUST be from single parent homes, or that kids who do act out don't have two parents at home. either way, I'm not sure what any of that has to do with how or why I am teaching. you're extrapolating what you want to hear to use as ammo. It's ok, the kids telling me they ENJOYED learning in my class today is all the motivation I need to disregard haters like yourself throwing shade.

I have several male(also black) relatives who also work or worked in education so I know damn well I'm not the only one. But if you believe there are enough of us out there trying to make a difference, then you're willfully ignorant to reality and further discussion is futile.

I'm glad you're mentoring, I hope you treat them differently than you do people online.
