As usually, their observations are good, their interpretation, however, is shitty.

Brah, advanced civilization existed and collapsed here before the current "world history" you've been told/taught.
Out of curiosity, what is the evidence that supports this? I've only heard this on Coast to Coast.

I'm not asking out of skepticism, I'm genuinely curious.

For the short version, listen to the Joe Rogan podcast with Randall Carlson.

we need to get rid of Columbus Day then
I've been celebrating UghOogAhg Day, in honor of our land's true discoverer for years.

Pretty sure that was the Barney Rubble poll. He had his own system.

It certainly appears that our ancestors were pretty fricking advanced

According to the newish book Sapiens, there were as many as six proven types of sapiens.
Homo Sapien wiped them all out (along with thousands of other species of large mammals) about 15,000 years ago.

The problem I have is the whole thing is based on circular reasoning. It basically said they threw out the results for carbon dating and luminescence dating because they weren't in the right range. So it's like they predetermine the age based on other circular reasoning and then keep going until they find a test to support it.

So who did the indians bludgeon to death in order to take their land? That's what we're talking about, right?
This.
When are these non native americans going to give up their native american privilege?
I have as much right to own a casino and sell cigarettes as anyone.

How is this even possible given the age of the earth??

actually the 40 thousand years theory is pretty well supported, not divided as this article claims. still crazy to think almost 100,000 years earlier there were people in north america, but not honestly that surprising to me.
right. What's the difference when you consider that the earth is 4.5 billion years old.

Did the Indians have cloth, the wheel, etc.?
I know North America had no horses before the Spaniards lost a few. I wonder how the noble plains Indians got around, probably had a monthly bus pass I guess.

What has caused the rapid succession in technology the last 100 years? I wonder if similar tech existed back then and if not why? Aliens?
