Strep throat. Tough it out? Is there even a point to go to the doctor?

Or is it like the flu, just wait it out and it will be gone within a couple days. Don't really feel like going to the doctor or spending $150.

Need amoxicillin to kill the strep. Go to quick care now. Get script for it. Also, ask for steroid shot. Will be 90% better by morning.

If its really Strep (Which only a doc could really "confirm") its usually self limited and only really treated to prevent the possibility of rheumatic fever.
I mean, its up to you. If you dont want to pay for the doc just go get some rest, drink fluids, yada yada yada and itll get better in a few days.
I recommend green tea with honey, Halls, and a couple Midol

Just order some Fish Mox Same stuff as regular anti-biotics with out needing to see a Dr.

I have not been to the doctor for "sickness" since I graduated high school and my neurotic mother would insist I go whenever my sibs and I had the slightest fever.
Amazing I am still alive.

Being you are a UF guy, I would suggest a lengthy gargle with two-ball root solution.
