Greatest neighborhood of all time in the 80s and 90s. Unfortunately now the families are grown, the empty nesters moved out, and St George NO voters moved in if you know what I mean.

My parents lived on Stones River in Shenandoah back in the 1990’s. Our neighbor, weatherman, Bruce Katz lived on Chancellorsville street.

Anyone ever noticed that many streets in Shenandoah are named for Civil War battles? Chickamauga Avenue, Bull Run Drive, Kennesaw Drive, ect. There's also a General Forrest Ave... the whole thing seems confederate themed, I guess makes sense for a neighborhood developed in suburbs during desegeration.

So?

I spent my childhood in the 1980's in Shenandoah as well...loved riding my bike to school daily at Shenandoah Elementary (Doubt that would be allowed today)

You mean streets named Bull Run (called First/Second Battle of Manassas by the Confederates) Gettysburg, Appomattox, Culp's Bluff, and Antietam (called Sharpsburg by the Confederates)?
