I basically live on the border of St. Landry/Evangeline.
Oof. That's basically what Delta did to us and we were on the east side of that storm last year.

Damn, Ok, thanks. Stay safe in uptown St Amant!

Downtown — I don’t associate with uptown St. Amant

What’s the opinion on how bad it’s gonna be around boutte. I was told the house i live in has never flooded from a hurricane. Only thing I need to worry about is the length of time with no electricity.
I can go to Ruston in a few hrs but I’ll have to come back Tuesday or Wednesday

I’d imagine Boutte is gonna have some significant winds also. Maybe 50-80mph. I’m pulling numbers out my arse though.

I’m actually more of a Galvez suburb than I am downtown St. Amant. Technically a Prairieville address but I’m way closer to the northern fringe of St. Amant and Galvez than I am to Prairieville.

Can’t wait to see the new advisory in 20 minutes or so.

That and the Buffalo Trace are the only reasons I'm still up

I like to screenshot the track forecast on TWC’s app to compare each new forecast. Gonna be interesting to see if they nudge it east again or back west. The euro and gfs are both west of the forecast track right now.

We all evacuated for Katrina together (which was obviously a wise decision). I don't know what the hell has changed in their logic since then.
Same. I was only 18, but we all left.
I’m hoping she’ll be fine. Her house is the highest on the street and has the built in generator. It’s basically a fortress. Mainly concerned about trees. I haven’t been back to visit since last October when that hurricane hit. Perfect timing for my visit. We had the generator and fine. Didn’t have much rainfall for that one.
I’m supposed to return (covid pending) this October.
She does have a few HOA friends staying. I told her to stock the beer and wine fridges and have a party. Invite them over to get use out of her AC if/when power goes.

Do you overlay them to see the changes?
Posted on 8/28/21 at 3:33 am to H2O Tiger
I don’t know how to do that
