I don't think people realize the near perfect conditions to not only allow a Cat 5, but to sustain it. A 4 is within reason and some of the models have shown it, but a Cat 5 would be very difficult to achieve. Though it is going over some of the most ideal waters in the Gulf of Mexico.

Wife enjoys the Dungeness. We had stopped coming to go to bAyside in Pierre part but they closed.

Be safe buddy... I will be down there cleaning up tomorrow. If you need something holler. I have to drop someone off at MSY so will be coming down 90
If you need a hand. I am on 70 between MM 11 and 12 (I think). This one could be interesting.

I think it’s a pretty safe to say that we can expect I-55 south of Ponchatoula to be underwater.

fricking HMON with a doomsday scenario for Morgan City this run. Went from a Pointe-aux-Chenes landfall to a Franklin landfall, and the intensity is up nearly 30kts to 117kts - 135 MPH.

I was about to post that. Basically mirrors of each other. Might save Houma with that type of run but Lafayette and Morgan City would be screwed.

Hell, Baton Rouge would get bent over too.

The HWRF still has Ida's pressure at 960 as it hits Baton Rouge. Yikes.

So the HMON is further west than the previous run and absolutely bombs out (the HMON is known for this though). It heads north over Morgan City.

Morgan City landfall, with Major hitting the panhandle of FL Labor Day is what I’m gathering from respective Mets......

Gas up, or roll out depending where your located.

There are no respected Mets saying this, trust me. If they are, they're dumb asses.
